Bistro Mosman

I had the pleasure of dining at Bistro Mosman recently, and we had an incredible evening. The food was absolutely delicious and the wait staff were warm, attentive and went out of their way for us. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

This is one of my luckiest finds on my food travels, no words can explain the majestic-ness of this hidden gem.. uncannily friendly staff who go above and beyond. I’ve visited this place 3 times , so I could try their different styles, according to the time day and to experience how the atmosphere changed in different settings. The first visit was brunch with a friend, the atmosphere reminded me of a Cosmo cafe I visited in the south of France many moons ago, the food was exquisite and homely in every aspect, from visual presentation through to the service from staff and the most nice gentlemen, Roy, that I’ve ever met who was legitimately interested in each person and conversing with them and was seemingly comfortable talking to you, as though you were two old friends, unseen for many years… this gentleman smile was as big as his heart and he alone made me feel. I was less of a customer and more of a friend. our second visit , was for the cocktail lounge part of this restaurant called JUNIPER LANE, needless to say, my lady friend felt like a Queen as she sophisticatedly sampled her way through the cocktail list in one of the most relaxed atmosphere’s I’ve ever experienced in a cocktail section / Lounge ( cue French cafe music with a slower tempo ) and we staff who were quite skilled in producing said cocktails as well as serving them.. cue etiquecy.. And on our most recent visit , we went for-the dinner menu, where the atmosphere not only portrayed sophistication of a culinary Guru and the intimacy of a stolen kiss from a child hood sweet heart.. but it has, as they say, Good vibes and friendly staff… if your ever on the northern beaches, I implore you to visit this wonderful, Hidden Gem, any time of day or night, weather for food or a cheeky cocktail, as it will be impossible to be disappointed

The food was very good, especially the grilled calamari with the sauce – absolutely delicious. We also loved the tiramisu. The staff were friendly and gave helpful suggestions on what to order. However, the waiting time for the food was over 40 minutes, which was a bit too long.

I recently hosted an event at Bistro Mosman and it was amazing! The setting was elegant yet welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was seamless from start to finish. The team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, which made the whole experience stress-free and truly enjoyable. Loved the service from Roy — he really made our Friday night dinner extra special. His food and drink suggestions were spot on, and his warm, attentive service brought a personal touch that made the evening memorable. -> fish antipasto & crab risotto are a must take!

What a wonderful place! There is not one thing I could fault here! The service was excellent, the food was delicious with impeccable cooking, the glassware tables and napkins crisp and sparkling! It really is a 5 star bistro! It would be incredible for dates, special celebrations or a high class lunch! I shall definitely return! Reasonably priced too!

It only took them 5 years to update their menu but thank goodness they did! I’ve eaten here three times since and absolutely love it. (Even had a girls lunch during the weekday and it was lovely). Love the new 2025 Bistro Mosman. I’ll be back! The new menu is a knockout: started with duck liver parfait (the sweetness of the marmalade is a clever balance!) followed by the fresh tuna crudo. I actually paired the goat meat maffaldine with the stracciatella tomatoes and it was amazing. The freshness of the tomatoes and the burrata was just phenomenal. The pasta was hearty, tender, and so full of flavors. For dessert, I forgot to take a photo (too busy enjoying it!) but the lemon tart was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The fine balance of the lemon tang with the crème fraîche was the perfect way to finish the meal. They actually alternate the tart flavor each week. I tried the chocolate tart for lunch one time and it was equally amazing. And of course, the cocktails are amazing as always, consistent, creative, and a great complement to the food!

Beautiful setting with delioush food. The service is friendly and relaxed yet still fine dining, which I like. The menu has options and I've not been disappointed yet. The venue has Wonder decor and allows ability to hear your tables conversation. I love their lunch special menu for those looking for a value 2 course with a glass of wine.
